Ingredients
- 12 Hawaiian Sweet Dinner Rolls
- 3 tablespoons Dijon-style mustard
- 2 teaspoons Worcestershire sauce
- 8 ounces thinly sliced deli chicken
- 12 slices Swiss cheese
- 30 dill pickle chips, drained
- 8 tablespoons unsalted butter, divided
- 1-½ teaspoons dried minced garlic
- 1-½ teaspoons dried minced onion
- 1-½ teaspoons poppy seeds
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
- Slice the rolls in half horizontally and place the bottom half in a 9x13-inch baking dish.
- In a small bowl, whisk together Dijon mustard, Worcestershire sauce, and 4 tablespoons of melted butter. Spread half of this mixture on the bottom rolls and the other half on the top rolls.
- Layer Swiss cheese, chicken, beef, and pickles on the bottom rolls, then top with the remaining Swiss cheese.
- Place the top rolls on the sliders. In a small bowl, combine the remaining melted butter with minced garlic, onion, poppy seeds, and a pinch of salt. Brush this mixture over the top rolls.
- Cover the baking dish with foil and bake for 20 minutes. Remove the foil and bake for an additional 5-10 minutes, until the sliders are golden and melty.
- Let the sliders cool for about 5 minutes before slicing and serving.
Notes
- Variations: For a vegetarian option, replace chicken and beef with roasted vegetables like bell peppers and zucchini. You can also swap the Swiss cheese for cheddar or mozzarella, or add a spicy kick with jalapeños or hot sauce.
- Storage: Leftovers can be stored in an airtight container for up to 2-3 days. Reheat in the oven at 350°F (175°C) for about 10 minutes to restore the melty cheese and warm rolls.
- Freezing: Assembled sliders can be frozen before baking for up to 2-3 months. Thaw in the fridge overnight and bake as directed.
