½ cup BBQ sauce

1 cup shredded cheddar cheese

1 cup heavy cream

¼ cup breadcrumbs

Salt and pepper to taste

Instructions

  • Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C).

  • Cook the beef: In a large skillet, cook the ground beef until browned, about 5-7 minutes. Season with salt and pepper. Drain excess grease and stir in BBQ sauce. Simmer for 2 minutes.

  • Mix the casserole ingredients: In a large bowl, combine the cooked macaroni, BBQ beef mixture, and shredded cheddar cheese. Add heavy cream and mix well.

  • Transfer to baking dish: Lightly grease a 9x13-inch baking dish and spread the mixture evenly.

  • Top and bake: Sprinkle breadcrumbs over the top. Cover with aluminum foil and bake for 20 minutes. Then, uncover and bake for an additional 5-10 minutes until the cheese is bubbly and golden.

  • Serve: Let it cool for 5 minutes before serving.

Notes

  • For a creamier texture, add mozzarella cheese.

  • You can substitute ground beef with ground turkey or add sautéed veggies like onions or bell peppers for extra flavor.

  • This casserole can be made ahead of time and refrigerated for up to 24 hours before baking.
