Ingredients

2 cups fresh or frozen strawberries

1 can (21 oz) strawberry pie filling

1 package (8 oz) cream cheese, softened

1 cup granulated sugar

1 tsp vanilla extract

1 box of yellow cake mix

1 cup unsalted butter, melted

Whipped cream for topping (optional)

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. Grease a 9×13-inch baking dish with non-stick spray.
  3. Spread the strawberries evenly in the bottom of the pan and top with the strawberry pie filling.
  4. In a bowl, combine cream cheese, sugar, and vanilla extract until smooth. Drop spoonfuls over the strawberry mixture.
  5. Sprinkle the dry cake mix evenly over the top. Do not stir.
  6. Drizzle the melted butter over the cake mix.
  7. Bake for 45-50 minutes or until the top is golden brown and bubbly.
  8. Allow to cool slightly before serving. Optionally, top with whipped cream.

Notes

  • Swap strawberries for blueberries, raspberries, or mixed berries.
  • Use peach pie filling instead of strawberry for a tropical twist.
  • Add lemon zest to the cheesecake layer for a citrusy kick.
