This creamy Sausage Alfredo Pasta combines tender pasta, smoky sausage, and a rich, garlicky Alfredo sauce, ready in under 30 minutes. Perfect for busy weeknights or a hearty meal.

Ingredients

1 pound dry pasta (such as bow tie, penne, or fettuccine)

½ cup unsalted butter

3 cloves garlic, pressed

3 cups heavy cream

1½ teaspoons kosher salt

½ teaspoon black pepper

¼ teaspoon crushed red pepper flakes (optional)

1½ cups freshly grated Parmesan cheese

12 ounces fully cooked smoked sausage, sliced

Instructions

  1. Cook the pasta according to the package directions. Drain and set aside.
  2. In a large skillet over medium-high heat, melt the butter. Add the pressed garlic and sauté for 2–3 minutes until fragrant.
  3. Slowly add the heavy cream, salt, and black pepper. Stir frequently and simmer for 8–10 minutes until the sauce thickens.
  4. Stir in the grated Parmesan cheese and crushed red pepper flakes (if using).
  5. Add the sliced sausage to the skillet and cook for an additional 2–3 minutes until heated through.
  6. Toss the cooked pasta into the sauce, ensuring it's evenly coated. Serve immediately.

Notes

  • For a spicier version, use spicy Italian sausage or increase the red pepper flakes.
  • Feel free to add sautéed spinach, mushrooms, or bell peppers for extra flavor and nutrition.
  • This recipe is best served fresh as the cream may separate when reheated.
