Easter Egg Oreo Cookie Balls are a no-bake treat made from crushed Golden Oreos and cream cheese, coated in white candy and decorated with colorful designs. Fun to make and perfect for Easter celebrations, they’re loved by kids and adults alike.

Ingredients

14.3 oz package (36 cookies) Golden Oreos, crushed into crumbs

8 oz cream cheese, room temperature

10 oz white candy coating

Additional 1 oz of white candy coating per color, for decorating

Gel icing colors

Instructions

  1. Place the Golden Oreo cookies in a food processor or blender and pulse until they form fine crumbs.
  2. In a mixing bowl, combine the Oreo crumbs with the softened cream cheese. Mix until well blended and the mixture can be easily shaped.
  3. Take about 1½ tablespoons of the mixture and shape it into an egg form. Repeat with the remaining mixture.
  4. Place the shaped eggs on a parchment-lined tray and refrigerate for about 1 hour to firm up.
  5. Melt the white candy coating according to package instructions. Dip each chilled egg into the melted coating, ensuring it's fully covered. Place back on the parchment paper to set.
  6. Divide the additional white candy coating into separate bowls and tint each with different gel icing colors. Drizzle the colored coatings over the dipped eggs to create festive designs. Allow to set completely before serving.

Notes

  • Use a cookie scoop for uniform egg shapes.
  • Ensure cookie balls aren't too cold when dipping to prevent cracking of the coating.
  • Store in the refrigerator for up to 1 week or freeze for up to 2 months.
  • White chocolate chips or almond bark can be used instead of candy melts.
