This Air Fryer Chicken Breast Recipe ensures tender, juicy, and crispy chicken breasts with minimal preparation. It's quick, easy, and perfect for busy weeknights or meal prepping.

Ingredients

2 boneless, skinless chicken breasts

1 tablespoon olive oil

1 teaspoon garlic powder

1 teaspoon onion powder

1 teaspoon paprika

Salt and pepper to taste

Optional: fresh herbs (rosemary or thyme) for garnish

Instructions

  1. Preheat the air fryer to 375°F (190°C) for 5 minutes.
  2. While the air fryer is heating up, pat the chicken breasts dry with paper towels.
  3. Rub both sides of the chicken breasts with olive oil.
  4. In a small bowl, mix together garlic powder, onion powder, paprika, salt, and pepper. Sprinkle this seasoning mix evenly over both sides of the chicken breasts.
  5. Place the seasoned chicken breasts in the air fryer basket in a single layer. Make sure they aren’t overlapping for the best results.
  6. Air fry the chicken breasts at 375°F (190°C) for 10-12 minutes, flipping halfway through the cooking time. The chicken is done when the internal temperature reaches 165°F (75°C).
  7. Let the chicken rest for 5 minutes before slicing or serving to help the juices redistribute.
  8. Optional: Garnish with fresh herbs before serving.

Notes

  • If cooking frozen chicken breasts, increase the cook time to 15-18 minutes and ensure the internal temperature reaches 165°F (75°C).
  • If you want a spicy kick, add cayenne pepper or chili powder to the seasoning mix.
  • For extra flavor, marinate the chicken for 30 minutes to 1 hour before cooking.
  • To prevent overcooking, always check the chicken’s internal temperature with a meat thermometer.
