Sweet Peach Iced Tea is a refreshing blend of robust black tea and luscious peach syrup, offering a delightful balance of sweetness and flavor. Perfect for warm days or any time you crave a fruity twist on classic iced tea.

Ingredients

4 cups water

1 family-size black tea bag

1 cup granulated sugar

2 tablespoons honey

2 cups fresh or frozen peaches, pureed

Instructions

  1. Bring 4 cups of water to a boil. Remove from heat, add the tea bag, and steep for 5 minutes. Pour the brewed tea into a 2-quart pitcher and set aside.
  2. In a medium saucepan, combine 1 cup of water, granulated sugar, and honey. Bring to a boil, stirring until the sugar dissolves.
  3. Add the pureed peaches, return to a low boil, then remove from heat and let cool.
  4. Strain the syrup through a mesh sieve, pressing to extract as much liquid as possible. Discard the pulp.
  5. Combine the peach syrup with the brewed tea, tasting as you go to adjust sweetness to your preference.
  6. Pour over ice and garnish with frozen peach slices if desired.

Notes

  • Use herbal tea for a caffeine-free version.
  • Adjust sweetness by reducing sugar or honey, or adding more tea.
  • Store tea in the fridge for up to 5 days.
  • Peach syrup can be made ahead and kept for up to a week or frozen for 3 months.
  • Allow tea to cool before refrigerating to prevent cloudiness.
