Ingredients

  • 1 lb flank steak
  • 8 oz rotini pasta
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1/3 cup honey
  • 1/4 cup soy sauce
  • 1 tablespoon rice vinegar
  • 1 teaspoon red pepper flakes (optional)
  • Chopped green onions for garnish
  • Salt and pepper, to taste
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil

Instructions

  • Season & Sear the Steak: Pat the flank steak dry, season with salt and pepper. Heat olive oil in a hot skillet and sear the steak for 4-5 minutes on each side. Let the steak rest for 5-10 minutes before slicing against the grain.
  • Prepare the Sauce: In the same skillet, sauté minced garlic. Stir in honey, soy sauce, rice vinegar, and red pepper flakes. Simmer until the sauce thickens.
  • Cook Pasta: Cook rotini according to package instructions, drain, and set aside.
  • Combine: Slice the rested steak thinly and toss it with the cooked pasta in the skillet, coating it with the honey garlic sauce. Garnish with chopped green onions and serve.

Notes

  • Protein Swap: Chicken, shrimp, or tofu can be used in place of flank steak.
  • Pasta Alternatives: Penne, farfalle, or any pasta of choice can be substituted for rotini.
  • Spice Level: Adjust red pepper flakes to suit your preferred heat level.
  • Storage: Leftovers can be stored in an airtight container in the fridge for up to 3 days. Reheat in a skillet with a bit of water or broth.
