This Spicy Jalapeño Chicken Stir-Fry is a quick and flavorful dish featuring tender chicken, colorful bell peppers, and a spicy glaze. Perfect for a weeknight dinner or meal prep.

Ingredients

1 lb boneless chicken breast, cut into bite-size pieces

1 red bell pepper, chopped

1 yellow bell pepper, chopped

1 green bell pepper, chopped

2 tablespoons soy sauce

1 tablespoon hoisin sauce

1 tablespoon sriracha (adjust to heat preference)

2 cloves garlic, minced

1 tablespoon olive oil

Salt and black pepper, to taste

12 fresh jalapeños, thinly sliced

Chopped green onions and fresh cilantro, for garnish

Instructions

  1. In a large skillet over medium-high heat, add olive oil. Cook the chicken pieces until lightly browned and fully cooked through. Season with salt and black pepper.
  2. Add the chopped bell peppers and minced garlic to the skillet. Stir-fry for 3–4 minutes, until the peppers are slightly tender but still crisp.
  3. Add the soy sauce, hoisin sauce, and sriracha. Toss everything together until the chicken and vegetables are evenly coated in the spicy glaze.
  4. Remove from heat and top with fresh jalapeño slices, chopped green onions, and cilantro.
  5. Serve hot with steamed rice or noodles for a complete meal.

Notes

  • For a vegetarian version, substitute chicken with tofu or tempeh.
  • To increase spice level, add more sriracha or chili flakes.
  • Add honey or brown sugar for a sweeter glaze.
  • Feel free to swap in other vegetables like snap peas, carrots, or zucchini.
