A fun, irresistible twist on the classic Rice Krispies treat, these S’mores Rice Krispies Treats Pinwheels combine marshmallow, chocolate, and graham cracker crust all rolled into bite-sized perfection.

Ingredients

10 oz miniature marshmallows

1/4 cup Challenge butter plus more for greasing

5 cups Rice Krispies cereal

3/4 cup graham cracker crumbs

7 oz jar marshmallow creme

6 Hershey's chocolate bars (1.55 oz each)

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 200°F.
  2. Line a 10x15 jellyroll pan with waxed paper. Lightly butter the waxed paper and set it aside.
  3. In a microwave-safe bowl, combine the marshmallows and 1/4 cup of butter. Cover and heat on high for 30 seconds, stir, and repeat until fully melted and blended.
  4. Stir in the Rice Krispies cereal and graham cracker crumbs until well combined.
  5. Press the mixture into the prepared pan, spreading it evenly.
  6. Use an offset spatula to spread the marshmallow creme on top of the Rice Krispies mixture.
  7. Break the Hershey's chocolate bars into pieces and place them on top of the marshmallow creme.
  8. Place the pan in the oven for 2 minutes, allowing the chocolate to soften.
  9. Once the chocolate is softened, use a spatula to spread it evenly over the marshmallow creme.
  10. Let the mixture cool for about 10 minutes.
  11. Starting at one end, carefully roll up the treat in a jellyroll style, peeling the waxed paper away as you roll. Pinch the seams together to secure the roll.
  12. Place the rolled-up pinwheels seam side down and refrigerate for 30-45 minutes, or until the chocolate has fully set.
  13. Once set, slice into 15 pinwheel servings and enjoy!

Notes

  • You can sprinkle extra graham cracker crumbs or mini marshmallows on top before rolling to enhance the s’mores flavor.
  • While Hershey’s bars are the classic choice, you can experiment with other chocolate bars or even use chocolate chips for a different texture.
  • Swap out the regular Rice Krispies for gluten-free cereal and check that the marshmallow creme and chocolate bars are gluten-free to make this a gluten-free treat.
  • Add crushed nuts like almonds or pecans into the Rice Krispies mixture for a crunchy twist.
  • For storage, keep leftovers in an airtight container at room temperature for up to 3 days, or refrigerate for up to 1 week.
