Ingredients

2 to 3 ripe bananas, mashed

1/3 cup melted butter

1 teaspoon baking soda

Pinch of salt

3/4 cup sugar

1 large egg, beaten

1 teaspoon vanilla extract

1 1/2 cups all-purpose flour

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a 4x8-inch loaf pan.
  2. In a mixing bowl, mash the bananas until smooth. Stir in the melted butter.
  3. Mix in the baking soda and salt, then add the sugar, beaten egg, and vanilla extract. Stir to combine.
  4. Gradually add the flour, stirring until just incorporated. Be careful not to overmix.
  5. Pour the batter into the prepared loaf pan and smooth the top with a spatula.
  6. Bake for 60-65 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean.
  7. Allow the banana bread to cool in the pan for about 10 minutes, then transfer it to a wire rack to cool completely.
