Ingredients

  • 1 pound breakfast sausage (regular or spicy)
  • 2-3 jalapeño peppers, minced and seeds removed
  • 8 oz cream cheese
  • 1 cup Monterrey Jack cheese, shredded
  • 1/2 cup sour cream
  • 1 tsp garlic powder
  • 1/4 cup Parmesan cheese, shredded
  • Fresh parsley for garnish

Instructions

  • Cook the sausage in a skillet over medium heat until browned, then drain off any excess fat.
  • Mince the jalapeños and grate the Monterrey Jack and Parmesan cheeses.
  • Add the cooked sausage, cream cheese, and sour cream to the skillet. Stir over medium heat until the cream cheese has melted and the mixture is smooth.
  • Stir in the garlic powder and minced jalapeños.
  • Add the Monterrey Jack cheese and stir until melted.
  • Transfer the mixture to an oven-safe dish, sprinkle Parmesan cheese on top, and bake at 375°F for about 15 minutes, or until bubbly and golden.
  • Remove from the oven, garnish with fresh parsley, and serve.

Notes

  • For an extra spicy version, add more jalapeños or use spicy sausage.
  • Use Greek yogurt instead of sour cream for a lighter version of this dip.
  • This dip can be made ahead of time and stored in the fridge before baking.
