Sausage French Toast Roll-Ups are a sweet and savory breakfast treat combining crispy cinnamon-infused French toast with juicy sausage links, perfect for kids and adults alike.

Ingredients

8 slices of bread (white, whole wheat, or brioche)

8 sausage links (turkey or vegetarian)

2 eggs

1/4 cup milk

1 tsp cinnamon

1 tsp vanilla extract (optional)

Butter for frying

Maple syrup or powdered sugar for serving

Instructions

  1. In a skillet over medium heat, cook the sausage links until fully cooked. Set aside to cool slightly.
  2. In a shallow bowl, whisk together the eggs, milk, cinnamon, and vanilla extract.
  3. Trim the crusts off the bread slices. Flatten each slice with a rolling pin. Place a sausage link at one end and roll tightly, seam side down.
  4. Heat a skillet over medium heat and add a small amount of butter. Dip each roll-up in the egg mixture to coat, then cook in the skillet until golden brown on all sides.
  5. Serve warm with maple syrup or a dusting of powdered sugar.
