Ingredients

1 pound pizza dough (or 1 can refrigerated pizza dough)

1 cup pizza sauce, divided

2 teaspoons chopped fresh parsley

½ teaspoon garlic powder

1 ½ cups shredded mozzarella cheese

⅓ cup shredded Parmesan cheese

⅔ cup mini pepperoni (or chopped pepperoni)

Toppings:

2 tablespoons shredded Parmesan cheese

2 tablespoons olive oil

Chopped fresh parsley for garnish

Instructions

  • Preheat the oven to 400°F (200°C).

  • Roll the pizza dough out into a 16" x 14" square on a lightly floured surface.

  • In a small bowl, mix garlic powder and chopped parsley with ½ cup of the pizza sauce, then spread it over the dough.

  • Top the dough with mozzarella cheese, Parmesan cheese, and mini pepperoni.

  • Roll the dough into a log, like a cinnamon roll.

  • Slice the log into 12 pieces and place them in greased muffin tins.

  • Sprinkle with Parmesan cheese and drizzle with olive oil.

  • Bake for 12-14 minutes or until golden brown.

  • Let the rolls cool for 5 minutes before serving with the remaining pizza sauce for dipping.

Notes

  • If you prefer a flakier texture, try using crescent rolls instead of pizza dough.

  • For extra flavor, you can add vegetables like fresh peppers, mushrooms, or jalapeños.

  • These pizza rolls can be made ahead and stored in the fridge for up to 3 days, or frozen for later.
