This Pesto Cream Sauce is a delightful fusion of rich cream, flavorful pesto, and Parmesan cheese, perfect over pasta for a quick, indulgent meal.

Ingredients

¾ cup heavy cream

⅓ cup water

2 tablespoons unsalted butter

½ cup pesto sauce (store-bought or homemade)

½ cup shredded Parmesan cheese

Salt and pepper to taste

Pasta of choice (e.g., bow tie or penne)

Instructions

  1. Bring a large pot of salted water to a boil. Cook pasta according to package instructions until al dente. Reserve ⅓ cup of pasta water, then drain and set aside.
  2. In a large skillet over medium heat, combine the heavy cream and reserved pasta water. Bring to a gentle simmer.
  3. Stir in the unsalted butter and pesto sauce. Continue stirring until butter has melted and the mixture is well combined.
  4. Add shredded Parmesan cheese and cook for 2 minutes, stirring until the cheese melts and the sauce is smooth.
  5. Add the cooked pasta to the skillet and toss to coat evenly with the sauce.
  6. Season with salt and pepper to taste. Serve immediately.
