A refreshing Peach Iced Tea combining natural sweetness of ripe peaches with bold black or green tea, perfect for summer.

Ingredients

4 ripe peaches, pitted and sliced

1 cup granulated sugar (adjust to taste)

4 cups water

3 black tea bags (or green tea bags for a lighter flavor)

Ice cubes, for serving

Fresh mint leaves and peach slices, for garnish (optional)

Instructions

  1. Prepare the Peach Syrup: In a medium saucepan, combine the sliced peaches, sugar, and 1 cup of water. Bring to a boil over medium heat, stirring occasionally. Once the sugar dissolves, reduce heat and simmer for 5 minutes. Mash peaches to release juices. Remove from heat and steep for 10 minutes.
  2. Strain the mixture through a fine mesh sieve into a bowl, pressing solids to extract liquid. Discard solids and set syrup aside to cool.
  3. Brew the Tea: Bring remaining 3 cups of water to a boil. Pour over tea bags in a heatproof container. Steep for 5 minutes, remove tea bags, and let cool to room temperature.
  4. Combine cooled peach syrup and tea in a large pitcher. Stir well.
  5. Refrigerate the mixture for at least 1 hour to chill.
  6. Serve over ice cubes, garnished with fresh mint leaves and peach slices if desired.
