1 lb sirloin steak, thinly sliced
1 lb penne pasta
4 cups beef broth
1 cup heavy cream
1/2 cup buffalo sauce
1/4 cup honey or maple syrup
1/4 cup soy sauce
2 cloves garlic, minced
1 tbsp olive oil
1/2 cup shredded cheddar cheese
Salt and pepper to taste
Optional: red pepper flakes for extra heat, green onions for garnish
Sear the Steak: Heat olive oil in a large pot or Dutch oven over medium-high heat. Add the thinly sliced sirloin steak and cook until browned. Season with salt and pepper to taste.
Add Garlic and Seasoning: Stir in minced garlic and cook for 1 minute until fragrant.
Prepare the Sauce: Pour in beef broth, heavy cream, buffalo sauce, honey (or maple syrup), and soy sauce. Stir to combine and bring to a boil.
Cook the Pasta: Add uncooked penne pasta. Reduce heat to low, cover, and simmer for 12-15 minutes, stirring occasionally to prevent sticking.
Add Cheese: Once the pasta is cooked and most liquid is absorbed, stir in shredded cheddar cheese and mix until melted and well coated.
Serve and Garnish: Serve hot, garnished with green onions and red pepper flakes, if desired.
You can swap penne with rigatoni, fusilli, or spaghetti.
For a different protein, use thinly sliced chicken breast or shredded rotisserie chicken.
Adjust the level of spiciness by modifying the amount of buffalo sauce or red pepper flakes.
To make it dairy-free, use coconut milk or a non-dairy cream alternative and omit cheese or use dairy-free cheese.
