Ingredients

  • 2 cups graham cracker crumbs
  • 1/2 cup melted butter
  • 8 oz cream cheese, softened
  • 1 cup powdered sugar
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 (20 oz) can crushed pineapple, drained
  • 3-4 bananas, sliced
  • 1 (8 oz) tub whipped topping (like Cool Whip)
  • 1/2 cup chopped walnuts or pecans
  • 1/2 cup maraschino cherries, halved
  • Chocolate syrup for drizzling

Instructions

  • In a medium bowl, combine graham cracker crumbs and melted butter, mixing until well combined. Press the mixture into the bottom of a 9x13-inch dish to form the crust.
  • In a separate bowl, beat together cream cheese, powdered sugar, and vanilla extract until smooth and creamy. Spread this mixture evenly over the graham cracker crust.
  • Layer the drained crushed pineapple over the cream cheese layer, followed by a layer of sliced bananas.
  • Spread the whipped topping evenly over the banana slices.
  • Sprinkle the chopped walnuts or pecans and halved maraschino cherries on top. Drizzle chocolate syrup over the dessert.
  • Refrigerate for at least 4 hours, or until fully set.
  • Serve chilled and enjoy!

Notes

  • You can substitute the graham cracker crust with crushed Oreos, Nilla wafers, or a store-bought shortbread crust.
  • For extra flavor, try adding other fruits like strawberries, raspberries, or blueberries.
  • For a dairy-free option, swap out the cream cheese and whipped topping for dairy-free alternatives.
  • Use fresh lemon juice on the banana slices to prevent browning.
