Ingredients

1 lb ground beef

½ tsp salt

½ tsp black pepper

½ tsp garlic powder

½ tsp onion powder

½ cup BBQ sauce

2 tbsp ketchup

1 tbsp mustard

1½ cups shredded cheddar cheese

½ cup cooked beef, crumbled

½ cup diced pickles

½ cup chopped onions

2 cups frozen tater tots

Instructions

  • Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).

  • In a large pan, brown the ground beef and season with salt, pepper, garlic powder, and onion powder. Once browned, drain any excess grease.

  • Stir in the BBQ sauce, ketchup, and mustard, mixing until well combined.

  • Transfer the beef mixture into a greased baking dish. Top with half of the shredded cheese, crumbled beef, diced pickles, and chopped onions.

  • Arrange the tater tots over the top and bake for 25-30 minutes, or until the tater tots are golden and crispy.

  • Sprinkle the remaining cheese on top and bake for an additional 5 minutes until the cheese is melted. Serve hot and enjoy!

Notes

  • Vegetarian Option: Swap the ground beef for plant-based alternatives, like veggie crumbles or lentils.

  • Spicy Twist: For a little heat, add chopped jalapeños or a few dashes of hot sauce.

  • Cheese Variations: Try using Monterey Jack or pepper jack cheese for a different flavor profile.

  • Add Veggies: You can easily incorporate vegetables like bell peppers or mushrooms for extra nutrition.
