Ingredients
2 1/4 cups all-purpose flour
1/2 teaspoon baking soda
1 cup unsalted butter, at room temperature
1/2 cup granulated sugar
1 cup packed light-brown sugar
1 teaspoon salt
2 teaspoons pure vanilla extract
2 large eggs
2 cups semisweet and/or milk chocolate chips
Instructions
Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C). Line two baking sheets with parchment paper.
In a small bowl, whisk together the flour and baking soda. Set aside.
In a large bowl, beat the butter, granulated sugar, and brown sugar together until smooth and creamy.
Add the salt, vanilla extract, and eggs one at a time, mixing well after each addition.
Gradually add the flour mixture, mixing until just combined.
Fold in the chocolate chips.
Drop rounded tablespoonfuls of dough onto the prepared baking sheets, spacing them about 2 inches apart.
Bake in the preheated oven for 9 to 11 minutes or until the edges are golden but the centers are soft.
Remove from the oven and let the cookies cool on the baking sheets for 2 minutes before transferring them to a wire rack to cool completely.
