Honey glazed salmon is a simple yet flavorful dish that combines the rich taste of salmon with a sweet and savory honey glaze. It’s quick to make and perfect for busy nights or special occasions.

Ingredients

4 salmon fillets

3 tablespoons honey

2 tablespoons soy sauce

1 tablespoon olive oil

1 tablespoon Dijon mustard

2 cloves garlic, minced

Salt and pepper, to taste

Lemon wedges, for serving

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C).
  2. In a small bowl, whisk together the honey, soy sauce, olive oil, Dijon mustard, and minced garlic. Season with salt and pepper to taste.
  3. Place the salmon fillets on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper or lightly greased.
  4. Brush the honey glaze generously over each salmon fillet.
  5. Bake for 12-15 minutes, or until the salmon is cooked through and flakes easily with a fork.
  6. Optional: For a crispier glaze, broil the salmon for an additional 1-2 minutes at the end of cooking.
  7. Serve the honey glazed salmon with lemon wedges on the side.

Notes

  • Spicy Honey Glazed Salmon: Add a pinch of red pepper flakes or a small amount of sriracha to the glaze for a spicy kick.
  • Garlic and Herb Infused: Mix fresh herbs like thyme or rosemary into the glaze for added flavor complexity.
  • Gluten-Free Version: Use tamari sauce or coconut aminos instead of soy sauce to keep the dish gluten-free.
  • Grilled Honey Glazed Salmon: Grill the salmon fillets for a smoky flavor instead of baking.
  • If you prefer a thicker glaze, simmer it on the stove to reduce and concentrate the flavors.
