This Honey Garlic Glazed Salmon offers a delicious blend of sweet, savory, and tangy flavors with a honey, garlic, and soy sauce glaze, perfectly complementing the tender salmon fillets.

Ingredients

4 salmon fillets

2 tbsp olive oil

4 garlic cloves, minced

1/4 cup honey

1/4 cup soy sauce

1 tbsp lemon juice

1 tsp grated ginger (optional)

Salt and pepper, to taste

Instructions

  1. Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat.
  2. Season the salmon fillets with salt and pepper, then add them to the skillet. Cook for 4-5 minutes per side, or until the salmon is golden brown and cooked through. Remove the salmon from the skillet and set aside.
  3. In the same skillet, add minced garlic and sauté for 1-2 minutes, until fragrant.
  4. Add honey, soy sauce, lemon juice, and ginger (if using) to the skillet. Stir well and cook for 2-3 minutes, allowing the sauce to thicken slightly.
  5. Return the salmon to the skillet, spooning the glaze over the fillets. Cook for another 1-2 minutes, until the salmon is fully coated and the glaze has thickened.
  6. Serve immediately, garnishing with fresh herbs or additional lemon slices if desired.

Notes

  • For a spicy kick, add some red pepper flakes or sriracha to the glaze mixture.
  • You can substitute honey with maple syrup for a different sweetness.
  • If using frozen salmon, make sure to thaw it completely before cooking.
  • Store leftover glazed salmon in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 2-3 days.
  • The glaze can be made in advance and stored for up to 3 days in the refrigerator.
  • If grilling the salmon, baste it with the glaze as it cooks.
  • For thicker glaze, simmer it for a few extra minutes.
