Tender and juicy steak strips glazed with a sweet and savory honey-soy marinade, quickly seared on a grill pan for a flavorful meal.

Ingredients

1 lb steak (sirloin or flank), sliced into thin strips

¼ cup honey

2 tbsp soy sauce

1 tbsp olive oil

2 cloves garlic, minced

½ tsp black pepper

½ tsp salt

½ tsp paprika (optional)

Instructions

  1. In a mixing bowl, whisk together honey, soy sauce, olive oil, minced garlic, black pepper, salt, and paprika (if using) to make the marinade.
  2. Add steak strips to the marinade, toss to coat well, cover and refrigerate for at least 30 minutes or up to 2 hours.
  3. Heat a grill pan over medium-high heat until hot, lightly grease with oil or nonstick spray.
  4. Place steak strips in a single layer and grill for 2–3 minutes per side until seared and caramelized, cooking in batches if needed.
  5. Remove from heat and let steak rest for a few minutes before serving warm with rice, roasted veggies, or in wraps.

Notes

  • For a spicy kick, add cayenne pepper or chili flakes to the marinade.
  • Mix fresh herbs like rosemary or thyme for extra aroma.
  • Add a tablespoon of lime or lemon juice to brighten the marinade.
  • Grill sliced bell peppers or onions alongside steak for a complete meal.
  • Use low-sodium soy sauce to reduce salt content.
  • Store leftovers in airtight container in fridge up to 3 days; reheat gently.
