Garlic Parmesan Chops are a savory delight that combines tender, juicy chops with a creamy garlic sauce and a cheesy Parmesan finish. This easy-to-make dish is perfect for a weeknight dinner or a special occasion, with rich, comforting flavors that will leave everyone asking for more. The combination of garlic, heavy cream, and Parmesan creates a mouthwatering sauce that perfectly complements the seared chops.

Ingredients

  • 4 bone-in chops (about 1 inch thick)
  • Salt and pepper, to taste
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 4 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 cup chicken broth
  • 1/2 cup heavy cream
  • 1 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 1 teaspoon Italian seasoning
  • Chopped fresh parsley, for garnish

Instructions

  • Prepare the Chops: Season both sides of the chops with salt and pepper.

  • Sear the Chops: Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat. Add the chops and sear for 4-5 minutes per side until golden brown and cooked through. Remove the chops and set aside.

  • Make the Garlic Sauce: In the same skillet, add the minced garlic and sauté for 30 seconds until fragrant.

  • Add Liquid Ingredients: Pour in the chicken broth and let it simmer for 2-3 minutes, scraping the brown bits from the skillet.

  • Incorporate Cream and Cheese: Lower the heat, then stir in heavy cream, Parmesan cheese, and Italian seasoning. Stir until smooth and creamy.

  • Combine Chops with Sauce: Return the chops to the skillet and spoon the sauce over them. Simmer for 2-3 more minutes to allow flavors to meld.

  • Serve: Garnish with chopped parsley and serve with your favorite side dishes.

Notes

  • Vegetarian option: Swap the chops for plant-based proteins like tofu or tempeh, and cook similarly.
  • Add vegetables: Toss in some spinach or sun-dried tomatoes before serving for added flavor and color.
  • Spicy twist: Add red pepper flakes or a bit of hot sauce to the garlic sauce for a spicy kick.
