Ingredients

  • 1 pound ribeye steak, pounded to 1/2" thickness and cut into 1.5" cubes
  • Salt and black pepper, to taste
  • 3 tablespoons olive oil
  • 5 tablespoons unsalted butter
  • 4 garlic cloves, minced
  • 1 teaspoon dried rosemary
  • Fresh parsley, for garnish

Instructions

  • Season the steak cubes with salt and black pepper on all sides. Set aside.
  • Heat a large pan over medium-high heat for 2-3 minutes. Add olive oil and heat for another minute.
  • Add the steak cubes to the pan and cook for 3-4 minutes, turning occasionally until browned on all sides. Remove from the pan and set aside.
  • In the same pan, melt the butter and scrape the bottom of the pan to loosen any browned bits.
  • Add the garlic and rosemary to the pan, stirring for 30 seconds until fragrant.
  • Return the steak bites to the pan and baste them with the garlic butter sauce for 1-2 minutes, or longer for well-done steak.
  • Remove from heat and season with additional salt and pepper. Garnish with fresh parsley before serving.

Notes

  • For a different flavor, substitute rosemary with thyme.
  • Add a pinch of smoked paprika or cumin for a smoky touch.
  • If preferred, substitute ribeye with sirloin or tenderloin for a leaner option.
  • This recipe can be customized by adding other spices like garlic powder or onion powder.
  • To make it spicier, add crushed red pepper flakes or cayenne pepper.
