Ingredients

1 medium head of cabbage, chopped

6 slices of beef, chopped

1 medium onion, chopped

2 cloves garlic, minced

1 teaspoon smoked paprika (optional)

Salt and pepper to taste

2 tablespoons butter

1 tablespoon apple cider vinegar (optional)

Fresh parsley, chopped (for garnish)

Instructions

  • Cook the Beef:
In a large skillet, cook the chopped beef over medium heat until browned and cooked through. Remove the beef and set it aside, leaving the drippings in the skillet.

  • Sauté the Onion and Garlic:
Add the chopped onion to the skillet and cook for 5-7 minutes until softened. Add the minced garlic and cook for another 1-2 minutes until fragrant.

  • Cook the Cabbage:
Add the chopped cabbage to the skillet, stirring to combine with the onion and garlic. Cook for 10-15 minutes, stirring occasionally, until the cabbage is tender and begins to caramelize.

  • Season the Cabbage:
Sprinkle smoked paprika (if using) over the cabbage and stir to combine. Season with salt and pepper to taste. Add the butter to the skillet and stir until it melts and coats the cabbage. For a tangy kick, drizzle the apple cider vinegar over the cabbage and mix well.

  • Finish and Serve:
Stir the cooked beef back into the skillet with the cabbage. Garnish with fresh parsley and serve.
