With a stunning three-layer look and a delicious combination of sweet, creamy, and tangy flavors, these shooters will light up your party in both color and taste.

Ingredients

1 cup grenadine

1 cup blue curaçao

1 cup soda

1 cup whipped cream

1 cup coconut cream

Ice cubes

Red and blue sugar crystals for rimming glasses

Strawberries and blueberries for garnish

Instructions

  1. Start by preparing your shooter glasses. Take a small plate and pour some water onto it. On another plate, spread out the red and blue sugar crystals separately. Dip the rim of each shooter glass into the water, then immediately into the red sugar crystals for half of the glass and into the blue sugar crystals for the other half, creating a two-tone effect. Set the glasses aside to dry.
  2. In a shaker, combine the soda and coconut cream. Fill the shaker with ice cubes, cover it, and shake vigorously for about 15-20 seconds until well-chilled. This mixture will be used for the white layer of the shooter.
  3. For the red layer, carefully pour the grenadine into the bottom of each shooter glass, filling them about one-third of the way full. Allow the grenadine to settle at the bottom of the glass without stirring.
  4. Next, for the white layer, slowly pour the soda and coconut cream mixture over the back of a spoon, allowing it to float on top of the grenadine. Fill the glass until it reaches about two-thirds full.
  5. For the blue layer, gently pour the blue curaçao over the back of a spoon to create the final layer on top. Fill the glass to the rim.
  6. Top each shooter with a dollop of whipped cream to create a frothy finish.
  7. Garnish each shooter with a strawberry and a few blueberries on top of the whipped cream for an extra festive touch.
  8. Serve immediately and enjoy the vibrant, layered effect of your Firecracker Red White & Booze Shooters.

Notes

  • Non-Alcoholic Version: For a kid-friendly version, simply leave out the blue curaçao and replace the soda and coconut cream with a lemon-lime soda and whipped cream, still maintaining the red, white, and blue color scheme.
  • Storage/Reheating: These shooters are best served fresh as the layers can begin to mix and lose their vibrant appearance over time. If you must prepare them ahead of time, keep them refrigerated until ready to serve but avoid topping with whipped cream until serving to ensure it remains fluffy.
  • Customizing the sugar rims: You can customize the sugar rims with any colors to match the theme of your party.
  • Substituting the coconut cream: You can substitute coconut cream with heavy cream or half-and-half, though it will slightly change the flavor profile.
