Fireball Cherry Blasters are a boozy treat combining the heat of cinnamon with sweet cherries, perfect for summer gatherings. The cherries are soaked in a spicy-sweet syrup made with Fireball Cinnamon soda, creating a flavor explosion in every bite.

Ingredients

1 cup fresh cherries, pitted

1 cup Fireball Cinnamon soda

1 cup granulated sugar

1 cup water

1 teaspoon vanilla extract

1/2 teaspoon ground cinnamon

1/4 teaspoon salt

Optional: 1 cup whipped cream for serving

Instructions

  1. Wash and dry the fresh cherries, removing stems and debris.
  2. Pit the cherries using a cherry pitter or sharp knife.
  3. In a medium saucepan, combine sugar, water, and ground cinnamon. Heat over medium heat, stirring constantly until the sugar dissolves and the mixture becomes clear (3-4 minutes).
  4. Bring the mixture to a boil, then let it simmer for 5 minutes without stirring to achieve the perfect syrup consistency.
  5. Remove from heat and allow the syrup to cool for about 5 minutes.
  6. Add the pitted cherries to the warm syrup, stirring gently to coat.
  7. Pour Fireball Cinnamon soda over the cherries, then add vanilla extract and salt. Stir gently to combine.
  8. Transfer the cherry mixture into a clean glass jar or airtight container, ensuring the liquid covers all the cherries.
  9. Seal the container and refrigerate for at least 24 hours (48 hours for best flavor).
  10. Serve chilled, optionally topping with whipped cream.

Notes

  • For extra flavor, marinate the cherries for 48 hours.
  • You can use frozen cherries, but fresh cherries are recommended for the best texture.
  • Substitute Fireball Cinnamon soda with non-alcoholic cinnamon soda for a kid-friendly version.
  • For an extra spicy kick, add cayenne pepper to the syrup.
  • Serve the cherries over ice cream for an indulgent treat.
