Egyptian Mint Lemonade, also known as Limonana, is a refreshing and creamy citrus drink made with fresh limes, mint, and milk. This sweet and tangy beverage comes together in minutes and is perfect for cooling off on warm days.

Ingredients

56 medium limes, sliced

3 cups whole milk

1 cup cold water

1 cup granulated sugar

6 fresh mint leaves

Ice cubes for serving

Instructions

  1. Add the sliced limes, whole milk, cold water, granulated sugar, and fresh mint leaves to a high-powered blender.
  2. Blend until smooth and well combined, being careful not to overmix to avoid bitterness from the lime peels.
  3. Pour the mixture through a fine mesh strainer into a pitcher to remove pulp and solids.
  4. Fill glasses with ice cubes and pour the strained lemonade over the ice.
  5. Serve immediately for the best flavor and texture.

Notes

For a lighter version, replace part or all of the milk with cold water or plant-based milk.

Add crushed ice to the blender for a frozen, slushy-style drink.

Substitute lemons for limes for a different citrus flavor.

Adjust sweetness by reducing sugar or using honey or another sweetener.

Store in a sealed container in the refrigerator for up to 24 hours and stir before serving.
