Made with just two ingredients—high-quality white chocolate and heavy cream—this recipe delivers a silky, smooth texture that's versatile and customizable. Whether you’re frosting desserts or filling pastries, this white chocolate ganache is a must-try for any dessert lover!

Ingredients

  • 8 oz (225g) white chocolate (high-quality recommended)
  • 1 cup (240ml) heavy cream (double or whipping cream)

Instructions

  • Place white chocolate chunks or chips in a microwave-safe bowl and pour in the heavy cream.
  • Microwave in 30-second intervals, stirring after each, until the chocolate is completely melted.
  • Stir until smooth and let it cool to room temperature.
  • Cover with plastic wrap, ensuring the wrap touches the ganache's surface to prevent air bubbles.
  • Refrigerate for 2 hours or let it sit at room temperature for 5-6 hours.
  • Once chilled, remove the plastic wrap and let the ganache soften for 10-30 minutes.
  • Whisk the ganache for about 2 minutes until it's fluffy and spreadable. If it’s too thick, add 2-3 tablespoons of milk to adjust the consistency.
  • Use the whipped ganache to frost, pipe, or decorate your favorite desserts.

Notes

  • For extra flavor, you can add a teaspoon of vanilla extract.
  • If you prefer a thicker consistency, reduce the amount of heavy cream.
  • This ganache works well as both a frosting and a filling for cakes, cupcakes, and pastries.
