These Easy Muffin Pan Cheddar Crumbly Puffs are a savory, cheesy treat made in just 35 minutes. With a crumbly texture and a delicious cheddar flavor, they make the perfect quick breakfast, side dish, or snack.

Ingredients

1 cup all-purpose flour

1 ½ teaspoons baking powder

¼ teaspoon salt

1 cup grated sharp cheddar cheese

½ cup milk

2 large eggs

¼ cup unsalted butter, melted

2 tablespoons olive oil

1 tablespoon honey (optional)

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C). Grease a muffin pan or line it with paper liners.
  2. In a large bowl, whisk together the flour, baking powder, and salt.
  3. Stir in the grated cheddar cheese, ensuring it is evenly distributed.
  4. In a separate bowl, beat the eggs and add the milk, melted butter, olive oil, and honey (if using). Mix well.
  5. Gradually pour the wet ingredients into the dry ingredients, stirring gently until just combined. The batter will be thick.
  6. Spoon the batter into the muffin pan, filling each muffin cup about 2/3 full.
  7. Bake for 18-20 minutes or until the tops are golden brown and a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean.
  8. Let the puffs cool slightly before serving.

  • To make it gluten-free, substitute the all-purpose flour with a gluten-free flour blend.
