Ingredients

For the dry waffle mix:

  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 2 tsp baking powder
  • 2 tbsp sugar
  • 1/2 tsp kosher salt

For the wet ingredients:

  • 2 large eggs
  • 1 1/2 cups milk
  • 1/4 cup melted butter
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract

Instructions

  • In a large bowl, mix together the dry ingredients: flour, baking powder, sugar, and salt.
  • In a separate bowl, whisk together the wet ingredients: eggs, milk, melted butter, and vanilla extract.
  • Pour the wet ingredients into the dry ingredients and whisk until just combined. Let the batter rest for a few minutes while preheating the waffle iron.
  • Preheat the waffle iron and lightly spray it with cooking spray (only for the first batch).
  • Pour batter into the waffle iron and cook until golden brown. Remove and repeat the process until all batter is used.
  • Serve warm with your favorite toppings like syrup, whipped cream, or fresh fruit.

Notes

  • For added flavor, mix in chocolate chips, berries, or nuts to the batter.
  • To make it healthier, substitute whole wheat flour or almond flour for the all-purpose flour.
  • Store leftover waffles in the freezer for later enjoyment—just reheat in the toaster or oven.
