1 cup sour cream

1/2 cup milk

1 teaspoon onion powder

1 teaspoon garlic powder

1/2 teaspoon dried thyme

1/2 teaspoon black pepper

1/2 teaspoon salt (adjust to taste)

1 (6-ounce) box of stuffing mix (such as Stove Top)

1 1/2 cups chicken broth

1 cup shredded cheddar cheese (optional, for extra richness)

  • Let the casserole rest for 5-10 minutes before serving.

Notes

  • Feel free to customize the casserole with optional ingredients like peas or shredded cheese.

  • If you want to make the casserole creamier, consider adding extra sour cream or using half-and-half instead of milk.

  • If preparing ahead of time, you can assemble the casserole 24 hours in advance and refrigerate it until ready to bake.
