Ingredients

  • 1 pound salmon fillets, skin removed
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • ½ teaspoon garlic powder
  • ½ teaspoon onion powder
  • ½ teaspoon smoked paprika
  • ¼ teaspoon cayenne pepper (optional)
  • Salt and black pepper, to taste
  • ¼ cup mayonnaise
  • 2 tablespoons Thai sweet chili sauce
  • 1 teaspoon sriracha
  • 1 teaspoon honey
  • ½ teaspoon lime juice

Instructions

  • Prepare the Salmon: Pat the salmon dry with paper towels, then cut it into 1-inch cubes.
  • Season the Salmon: Toss the salmon cubes with olive oil, garlic powder, onion powder, smoked paprika, cayenne pepper, salt, and black pepper until evenly coated.
  • Cook the Salmon:
    • Pan-sear: Heat a skillet over medium-high heat and cook the salmon cubes for 2-3 minutes per side, until golden and crispy.
    • Bake: Preheat the oven to 400°F. Place the salmon cubes on a lined baking sheet and bake for 10-12 minutes.
    • Air Fry: Preheat the air fryer to 375°F and cook the salmon for 8-10 minutes, flipping halfway.
  • Make the Sauce: In a separate bowl, whisk together mayonnaise, sweet chili sauce, sriracha, honey, and lime juice.
  • Combine: Once the salmon is cooked, toss or drizzle the sauce over the salmon cubes. Garnish with fresh herbs or sesame seeds, if desired.

Notes

  • Adjust the spice level by adding more sriracha or cayenne pepper for a hotter flavor.
  • Make the sauce ahead of time and store in the refrigerator for up to 3 days.
  • To get extra crispy salmon, make sure the pieces are spaced out during cooking, and pat them dry before seasoning.
