Ingredients

1 box (18-20 oz) brownie mix (your favorite brand)

2 large eggs

¼ cup vegetable oil

1 tablespoon water

Optional mix-ins:

½ cup chocolate chips

½ cup chopped nuts (walnuts or pecans work great)

½ cup candy pieces (e.g., M&M’s)

Instructions

  • Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper or a silicone baking mat to prevent sticking.

  • In a large mixing bowl, combine the brownie mix, eggs, vegetable oil, and water. Stir until the ingredients are well combined and form a thick, sticky dough.

  • If you’re adding mix-ins, fold them into the dough.

  • Using a cookie scoop or tablespoon, drop spoonfuls of dough onto the prepared baking sheet, spacing them about 2 inches apart.

  • Bake for 10-12 minutes. The edges should be set, while the centers remain soft.

  • Let the cookies cool on the baking sheet for 5 minutes before transferring them to a wire rack to cool completely.

Notes

  • These cookies will stay soft and gooey like brownies if you remove them from the oven when the center is still a bit soft.

  • Store cookies in an airtight container at room temperature for up to 5 days, or freeze them for longer storage.

  • Dough can be frozen for later use. Just scoop onto a baking sheet, freeze until solid, and then transfer to a freezer bag.
