With a fudgy texture and crisp edges, they’re incredibly easy to make, and you can customize them with chocolate chips, nuts, or candy pieces. Ideal for a quick snack or dessert, these cookies deliver all the delicious flavors of brownies with minimal effort.

Ingredients

1 box (18-20 oz) brownie mix (your favorite brand)

2 large eggs

¼ cup vegetable oil

1 tablespoon water

Optional mix-ins:

½ cup chocolate chips

½ cup chopped nuts (walnuts or pecans)

½ cup candy pieces (e.g., M&M’s)

Instructions

  • Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper or a silicone baking mat.

  • In a large mixing bowl, combine the brownie mix, eggs, vegetable oil, and water. Stir until a thick dough forms.

  • Fold in any optional mix-ins like chocolate chips, nuts, or candy pieces.

  • Using a cookie scoop or tablespoon, drop spoonfuls of dough onto the prepared baking sheet, spacing them about 2 inches apart.

  • Bake for 10-12 minutes. The edges should be set, and the centers slightly underbaked for a fudgy texture.

  • Let the cookies cool on the baking sheet for 5 minutes, then transfer to a wire rack to cool completely.

Notes

  • For a double chocolate twist, add white chocolate chips and drizzle with melted dark chocolate after baking.

  • To make peanut butter cookies, swirl in a teaspoon of peanut butter into the dough.

  • For a minty touch, try peppermint extract and crushed candy canes for a holiday variation.
