Cinnamon Roll French Toast Bites combine the warm, spiced flavor of cinnamon rolls with the rich, custardy coating of French toast into a delightful, bite-sized treat.

Ingredients

1 can refrigerated cinnamon rolls (with included icing or glaze)

2 eggs

¼ cup milk

½ teaspoon vanilla extract

½ teaspoon ground cinnamon

Butter for greasing the skillet

Optional toppings: maple syrup, cream cheese glaze, powdered sugar, or whipped cream

Instructions

  1. Open the can of cinnamon rolls and separate each roll. Cut each roll into quarters or smaller bite-sized pieces.
  2. In a medium bowl, whisk together the eggs, milk, vanilla extract, and ground cinnamon until well combined.
  3. Gently toss the cinnamon roll pieces in the egg mixture until they’re evenly coated but not soggy.
  4. Heat a skillet or nonstick pan over medium heat and add a small amount of butter. Once melted, add the soaked cinnamon roll pieces in a single layer. Cook for 2–3 minutes on each side, turning often, until golden brown and cooked through.
  5. Stack the warm French toast bites on a serving plate. Drizzle with the included icing, warm maple syrup, or cream cheese glaze.
  6. Enjoy while warm, optionally topped with powdered sugar or a dollop of whipped cream for extra sweetness.

Notes

  • These bites are best served fresh, but leftovers can be stored in an airtight container in the fridge for up to 2 days.
  • If you want to reheat leftovers, use a toaster oven or air fryer for the best results.
  • For a more decadent treat, top with extra icing, whipped cream, or drizzle melted chocolate over the bites.
  • Feel free to experiment with additional spices, such as nutmeg or cloves, in the egg mixture for a customized flavor.
  • If you prefer an egg-free version, use a milk-and-flour batter or a plant-based egg substitute.
  • You can also bake the bites at 375°F for about 10–12 minutes, flipping halfway through for even crispiness.
