These Chocolate Raspberry Crumb Bars offer a mouthwatering combination of rich chocolate and tart raspberry preserves, layered on a buttery crust and topped with a crunchy, nutty crumble. This easy-to-make dessert is perfect for any occasion and is sure to satisfy your sweet cravings.

Ingredients

1 cup unsalted butter, softened

1 cup packed brown sugar

2 cups all-purpose flour

½ teaspoon salt

¾ cup chopped pecans (optional)

1 can (14 ounces) sweetened condensed milk

1 cup bittersweet chocolate chips

½ cup raspberry preserves

½ cup semi-sweet chocolate chips

Instructions

  • Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C).

  • Cream butter and brown sugar together for 2-3 minutes until light and creamy.

  • Add flour and salt, and mix until a dough forms. Set aside ⅔ of the dough for the crumb topping.

  • Press the remaining dough into the bottom of a greased 9x13-inch baking dish. Bake for 10 minutes.

  • Stir pecans into the reserved dough and set aside.

  • In a microwave-safe bowl, melt sweetened condensed milk and bittersweet chocolate chips together, stirring every 30 seconds until smooth.

  • Pour the chocolate mixture over the baked crust, spreading it evenly.

  • Sprinkle the crumb mixture on top, followed by dollops of raspberry preserves and semi-sweet chocolate chips.

  • Bake for 25-30 minutes or until golden and set. Cool completely before cutting into bars.

Notes

  • Storage: Store in an airtight container at room temperature for up to 4 days or in the fridge for up to 1 week. Freeze for up to 3 months.

  • Substitutions: Swap raspberry preserves for other fruit preserves like blueberry or blackberry. You can also use a different type of nut or chocolate.
