1 cup of Milk

200 g of Butter

3 Eggs

2 tbsp. of Cocoa Powder

2 tbsp. of Vanilla Extract

1 tsp. of Baking Powder

Melted Chocolate for decoration

Instructions

  • Preheat the oven to 180°C (350°F).

  • In a double boiler, melt the dark or milk chocolate with the butter until smooth.

  • In a separate bowl, beat the eggs and granulated sugar together until foamy.

  • Add the melted chocolate and butter mixture to the egg-sugar mix, and stir until well combined.

  • Add the vanilla extract, cocoa powder, and baking powder to the mixture, then stir.

  • Gradually add the flour and milk alternately, mixing until smooth.

  • Pour the batter into a greased and floured pan, spreading evenly.

  • Bake for 30-40 minutes, or until a toothpick comes out clean.

  • Let the cake cool slightly, then slice it horizontally into two layers.

  • Spread melted chocolate between the layers and decorate the top with more melted chocolate and any extra decoration you desire.

Notes

  • You can replace wheat flour with all-purpose flour or a gluten-free flour blend if needed.

  • For a richer frosting, top with chocolate ganache or buttercream frosting.

  • Feel free to add fresh fruit or chopped nuts for extra flavor and texture.
