Ingredients

  • 1 package Pillsbury Crescent Rolls
  • ¼ tsp Water
  • Orange Food Coloring
  • Cream Horn Molds (optional)

Instructions

  • Preheat the oven according to the crescent roll package instructions.
  • Prepare the dough: Roll out the crescent roll dough on a lightly floured surface and pinch the seams together.
  • Cut the dough into ½-inch strips using a knife or pizza cutter.
  • Shape the strips into 7-8 inch ropes.
  • Wrap the dough around a cream horn mold, starting at the bottom and spiraling upward.
  • Color the dough: Mix orange food coloring with water, then brush it onto the crescent rolls using a clean paintbrush.
  • Bake according to the package instructions until golden brown.
  • Cool before removing from molds.
  • Fill with your desired sweet or savory filling before serving.

Notes

  • No cream horn molds? Use a wooden clothes pin (without the spring) or shape by hand.
  • For a natural orange hue, try using carrot or beet juice instead of food coloring.
  • Make ahead: Bake the crescent rolls and store in an airtight container. Fill just before serving.
