These Carrot Chocolate Covered Strawberries are a fun and festive Easter treat! Fresh strawberries are dipped in orange candy melts to resemble little carrots, making them perfect for holiday celebrations. Serve them as is or pair them with chocolate pudding and crushed Oreos for an adorable Easter dirt cup dessert.

Ingredients

  • Fresh strawberries
  • Orange candy melts
  • Crushed Oreos (optional)
  • Chocolate pudding (boxed mix or homemade, optional)
  • Parchment paper
  • Sandwich bag (for drizzling)

Instructions

  1. Prepare the strawberries – Wash and dry the strawberries thoroughly. Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  2. Melt the candy melts – Heat the orange candy melts over low heat, stirring constantly until smooth. Remove from heat.
  3. Dip the strawberries – Hold each strawberry by the stem and dip it into the melted candy coating, covering most of the berry. Place it on parchment paper and allow it to set.
  4. Drizzle for decoration – Melt a small amount of remaining candy melts, pour into a sandwich bag, snip off the tip, and drizzle over the coated strawberries.
  5. (Optional) Assemble the pudding cups – Layer crushed Oreos, chocolate pudding, and more crushed Oreos in small cups. Place a carrot-shaped strawberry on top.
  6. Refrigerate – Let the strawberries or pudding cups chill until ready to serve.

Notes

  • Storage: Keep in an airtight container in the fridge for 2-3 days with a paper towel to absorb moisture.
  • Chocolate Tips: Avoid adding food coloring to chocolate; use pre-colored candy melts for best results.
  • Variations: Drizzle with white chocolate, use sprinkles, or substitute with other fruits like grapes or raspberries.
