  2. Pour mini pretzels into a large bowl and set aside.
  3. In a medium saucepan, add brown sugar, cubed butter, and corn syrup. Bring to a boil over medium heat. Boil for 5 minutes, stirring constantly.
  4. Remove from heat and whisk in vanilla and baking soda.
  5. Pour the hot toffee mixture over the pretzels and toss to coat evenly.
  6. Sprinkle half the bag of toffee bits over the pretzels and toss again to coat.
  7. Spread the pretzels onto the prepared baking sheet evenly.
  8. Bake for 1 hour, stirring every 15 minutes to ensure even coating.
  9. Remove from oven and immediately sprinkle the remaining toffee bits over the pretzels.
  10. Allow pretzels to cool and set completely. Once cooled, break into small clusters and enjoy.

Notes

  • Swap mini pretzels for pretzel rods or sticks for a different texture.
  • Add a sprinkle of sea salt over toffee before baking for extra saltiness.
  • Mix in chopped nuts like pecans or almonds for added crunch.
  • Use dark or white chocolate chips instead of toffee bits for a chocolate twist.
  • For gluten-free option, use gluten-free pretzels.
  • Store in an airtight container at room temperature up to two weeks; avoid refrigeration.
  • Reheat softened clusters in a 250°F oven for 5-10 minutes to crisp.
  • To make vegan, use plant-based butter and dairy-free toffee bits.
