A creamy, sweet compound butter blending brown sugar and warm cinnamon, perfect as a spread for bread, pancakes, or sweet potatoes.

Ingredients

1/2 cup unsalted butter, softened

1/4 cup brown sugar, packed

1/2 teaspoon ground cinnamon

Pinch of salt (optional, omit if using salted butter)

Instructions

  1. Allow the butter to come to room temperature for easier mixing.
  2. In a medium bowl, combine the softened butter, brown sugar, ground cinnamon, and a pinch of salt.
  3. Use a hand mixer or stand mixer to beat the mixture until smooth and creamy.
  4. Transfer the butter to a serving dish or shape it into a log using parchment paper.
