These Breakfast Rolls are a delicious and hearty treat that combines savory sausage, beef, eggs, and cheese wrapped in pre-made crescent roll dough, perfect for a quick and satisfying breakfast or brunch.

Ingredients

4 eggs

2 tablespoons red bell pepper, finely diced

1 tablespoon milk

1/4 teaspoon black pepper

2 8-ounce cans crescent dough sheets

1/3 cup whipped chive and onion cream cheese

8 ounces ground breakfast sausage, cooked

4 slices beef, cooked and crumbled

1 1/2 cups shredded cheddar cheese

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a 9×13-inch pan with cooking spray.
  2. In a mixing bowl, whisk together the eggs, red bell pepper, milk, and black pepper.
  3. Scramble the eggs on the stovetop, then set them aside to cool slightly.
  4. Open the two cans of crescent dough and unroll the sheets onto a flat surface. Pinch the long edges together to form one large rectangle.
  5. Spread the whipped chive and onion cream cheese evenly over the dough.
  6. Layer the scrambled eggs, cooked ground sausage, crumbled beef, and shredded cheddar cheese on top of the cream cheese.
  7. Carefully roll the dough into a tight log, then use a serrated knife to cut the rolled dough into 12 equal slices.
  8. Place the slices into the prepared baking pan.
  9. Bake the rolls in the preheated oven for 24-26 minutes, or until the tops are golden brown and the cheese is bubbly.
  10. Serve warm and enjoy!

Notes

  • For a vegetarian version, omit the meat and add more vegetables like spinach, mushrooms, or tomatoes.
  • You can substitute the chive and onion cream cheese with sour cream or other spreads if preferred.
  • These rolls can be made ahead of time and baked the next day for convenience.
  • If using regular crescent rolls, pinch the seams together to form one large rectangle.
  • If you like extra cheese, feel free to add more cheddar or other cheese varieties.
