This Blackberry Basil Ricotta Pizza offers a unique twist on traditional pizza by blending sweet blackberries, creamy ricotta, mozzarella, and fresh basil. The contrast of savory cheese and juicy fruit, with a drizzle of honey and balsamic glaze, creates a gourmet pizza perfect for any occasion.

Ingredients

1 pre-made pizza dough (or homemade dough)

1 cup ricotta cheese

1/2 cup mozzarella cheese, shredded

1 cup fresh blackberries

1/4 cup fresh basil leaves, chopped

2 tablespoons olive oil

1 tablespoon honey

Salt and pepper, to taste

Optional: balsamic glaze for drizzling

Instructions

  • Preheat your oven to 475°F (245°C). If using a pizza stone, allow it to preheat.

  • Roll out the pizza dough on a lightly floured surface to your desired thickness. Transfer it to a pizza peel or an inverted baking sheet lined with parchment paper.

  • Lightly brush the dough with olive oil and season with salt and pepper.

  • Spread ricotta cheese evenly over the dough, leaving a small border around the edges. Sprinkle shredded mozzarella cheese over the ricotta.

  • Top with blackberries and chopped basil. Drizzle with honey.

  • Bake the pizza for 12-15 minutes, until the crust is golden and the cheese has melted.

  • Remove from the oven and let it cool for a few minutes. Optionally, drizzle with balsamic glaze, slice, and serve.
