Air Fryer Sweet Potato Fries are a healthier alternative to traditional fries, made with minimal oil but delivering a crispy exterior and tender interior. Perfect for a snack or side dish, these fries are full of flavor and nutrients.

Ingredients

2 medium sweet potatoes

1 tablespoon olive oil

1/2 teaspoon garlic powder

1/2 teaspoon smoked paprika

1/4 teaspoon salt

1/4 teaspoon black pepper

Optional: 1/4 teaspoon cayenne pepper for extra heat

Instructions

  1. Preheat your air fryer to 400°F (200°C).
  2. Peel the sweet potatoes and cut them into thin, even fries (about 1/4-inch thickness).
  3. Toss the sweet potato fries with olive oil, garlic powder, smoked paprika, salt, pepper, and cayenne pepper (if using).
  4. Place the fries in the air fryer basket in a single layer, ensuring they aren’t overcrowded.
  5. Air fry the fries at 400°F for 15-20 minutes, shaking the basket halfway through for even crisping.
  6. Once the fries are golden and crispy, remove them from the air fryer and serve immediately.

Notes

  • For a sweet and spicy twist, drizzle honey or maple syrup and add chili flakes.
  • Try seasoning with dried herbs like thyme, rosemary, or oregano for a fragrant touch.
  • Alternatively, cut the sweet potatoes into wedges for a chunkier fry option.
  • For extra flavor, sprinkle with grated parmesan cheese after air frying.
  • Leftovers can be stored in an airtight container for up to 3 days and reheated in the air fryer for 3-5 minutes at 400°F.
