Air Fryer Apples are a simple and healthy dessert that transforms everyday apples into a warm, comforting treat. With just a few ingredients, they become a caramelized and tender dish without the need for deep frying, making them a healthier alternative to other desserts.

Ingredients

4 medium apples (such as Gala or Fuji)

1 tablespoon cinnamon

1 tablespoon honey or maple syrup (optional)

1 tablespoon butter (optional)

Instructions

  1. Preheat the air fryer to 375°F (190°C).
  2. Wash, core, and slice the apples into wedges or rounds.
  3. In a bowl, toss the apple slices with cinnamon, and drizzle with honey or maple syrup if desired.
  4. Add the butter (if using), and toss everything to coat the apples evenly.
  5. Place the apples in the air fryer basket in a single layer, making sure they are not overcrowded.
  6. Air fry for about 10-15 minutes, shaking the basket halfway through, until the apples are tender and golden brown.
  7. Remove from the air fryer and serve immediately.

Notes

  • Leftover air fryer apples can be stored in an airtight container in the fridge for up to 2-3 days.
  • To reheat, place the apples back in the air fryer for about 3-5 minutes at 350°F (175°C) or until warmed through.
  • You can add chopped nuts like pecans or walnuts for added texture.
  • For a more decadent treat, drizzle caramel sauce over the apples after air frying.
  • Feel free to add vanilla or almond extract for extra flavor.
