Strawberry Cream Puffs are a delightful treat that perfectly balances crisp pastry with a luscious, creamy filling infused with the sweet essence of ripe strawberries. These puffs are an irresistible choice for any occasion, offering a light, airy texture with a refreshing strawberry filling.

Ingredients

400g Puff pastry

100g Fresh strawberries

100ml Whipping cream (sweetened with a few tablespoons of icing sugar)

8 teaspoons Strawberry jam

1 tablespoon White cocoa syrup (@saveur_cestdelicieux)

About 2 tablespoons Icing sugar for sprinkling

Melted chocolate for drizzling

Instructions

  1. Cut hearts or rectangles from the puff pastry. If you're cutting rectangles, use only half of the puff pastry. If you're cutting hearts, use the full 400g pastry. You can use the offcuts for a pie base later.
  2. Brush the pastry shapes with egg wash.
  3. Bake the pastry shapes until they are golden and fully cooked.
  4. Once baked, slice the puff pastry hearts open.
  5. Spoon 1 teaspoon of strawberry jam inside each puff.
  6. Pipe the sweetened whipping cream (mixed with white cocoa syrup) into the pastry.
  7. Add freshly sliced strawberries on top of the cream.
  8. Place the top pastry piece back on and close the puff.
  9. Dust with icing sugar and drizzle with melted chocolate.
  10. Serve and enjoy!
