Ingredients

1 box chocolate cake mix

1 egg

1/2 cup butter, melted

8 oz cream cheese, softened

2 eggs

1 tsp vanilla extract

1/2 cup butter, melted

16 oz powdered sugar

1/4 cup cocoa powder

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease a 9x13-inch baking pan.
  2. In a mixing bowl, combine the chocolate cake mix, egg, and melted butter. Press the mixture into the bottom of the prepared pan.
  3. In a separate bowl, beat the softened cream cheese, eggs, and vanilla extract until smooth.
  4. Add the melted butter, powdered sugar, and cocoa powder to the cream cheese mixture. Beat until everything is well combined.
  5. Pour the cream cheese filling over the cake layer in the pan.
  6. Bake in the preheated oven for 35-40 minutes, or until the top is set and slightly golden. The center should remain soft and gooey.
