Peanut Butter Apple Sandwiches with Granola combine crisp fresh apples, creamy peanut butter, and crunchy granola into a quick, nutritious, and customizable snack perfect for kids and adults.

Ingredients

1 medium apple (Honeycrisp or Gala recommended)

2 tablespoons creamy peanut butter

1 tablespoon granola

Instructions

  1. Core the apple using an apple corer or slice it into 8–10 wedges. Optionally, use a small cookie cutter to remove the core from each slice for a fun presentation.
  2. Pat one side of each apple slice dry with a paper towel. Spread a thin layer of peanut butter on the dry side of each slice.
  3. Sprinkle granola over the peanut butter on half of the apple slices.
  4. Top the granola-covered slices with the remaining apple slices, peanut butter side down, to form sandwiches.
  5. Enjoy immediately for the best taste and texture.

Notes

  • Substitute peanut butter with almond butter, sunflower seed butter, or other nut/seed butters.
  • Try different granola flavors like chocolate, cinnamon, or fruit-infused varieties.
  • Add raisins, dried cranberries, chopped nuts, seeds, or mini chocolate chips for extra flavor.
  • Use pears or celery sticks instead of apples for variation.
  • To prevent browning, brush apple slices with lemon juice before assembling or storing.
  • Store sandwiches in an airtight container in the refrigerator and consume within a few hours.
  • Crunchy peanut butter can be used but creamy helps granola stick better.
  • Use gluten-free granola to keep this recipe gluten-free.
